I don't want to give this place 2 stars, but if you want an honest look at the place now, in 2019, it's 2 stars. We used to come here all the time for lunch. It's a great location and had a lot of charm, even when it was a bit rundown. The original owners/managers were always around and the wait staff knew our favorite dishes. The place appeared to be family-owned. The food was inexpensive, reliable, and they gave you plenty of it. It was economical and offered a basic Chinese-American menu. The "kids" plate was generous and was basically batter-fried chicken from their sesame chicken without the sauce. But those days are over. Now it's a hodgepodge of Mexican and Chinese and food, and although the menu has expanded, the Chinese food is hardly the same. It's as if someone learned how to cook a few Chinese dishes off YouTube and decided to take over an entire restaurant. It's obvious that the place is under new ownership/management, but other than the interior, it is no longer a reliable Chinese restaurant. Maybe it's a good Mexican restaurant, there are a few reviewers that seem to like their tacos. But it would be nice if there were a classic, sit-down Chinese restaurant downtown again. This isn't it, at least not for now. For now, we just get carry-out at a couple other places instead.

Updated on 2/19. Stay away, the food was sub par (if that) this time. The portions were smaller. They short change you on everything. We ordered multiple dishes and the lady bought out one small bowl of white rice. It’s like they’re cutting corners at the cost of the consumers. Another thing the lady gave us three fortune cookies. I’ve never been a place where they only give you three cookies. We won’t be back ever again. It’s a shame how your service can change for the worse in a matter of three months. I left the old review so you can see how they changed. Service was awesome, and the food was decent. We’ve tried numerous places in Racine, and it was the same thing over and over. One item was ok, and the rice wasn’t, or the rice wasn’t good but the dish was. This place has chicken egg rolls, and chicken fried rice that comes with the lunch specials. The gravy for the egg foo young was actually good (that is what will make or break the dish).

We used to order from here often but got to pricey so stopped. Decided today to order from here again and the sweet and sour sauce is pink water with 3 chunks of pineapple! GROSS!

this used to be the best Chinese place in town. But a little over a year ago it seems as if they switched cooks and the food became not as good as it used to be. It seems thrown together. You used to get a lot of meat in your dishes but now it's all packed with noodles instead. if the owner is reading this whatever change you made about a year ago it's not working so please go back to the way things were.

Definitely better than everything in Racine as far as Chinese food. You uncultured people don’t like REAL aunthentic tasteful food. Panda Express is rated better, c’mon now.
